PM calls on SDSM to show evidence regarding allegations over Ramadani’s escape

PM calls on SDSM to show evidence regarding allegations over Ramadani’s escape

Skopje, 22 August 2024 (MIA) – If they have evidence they should come out and show it, and we will see the outcome, Prime Minister Hristijan Mickoski said Thursday following SDSM’s allegations that former Kosovo Liberation Army (KLA) member Blerim Ramadani’s escape from house arrest was organized by structures at the Interior Ministry.

Mickoski said the concern of SDSM and DUI should be analyzed, since, he said, this is not the first case of this type, and a Supreme Court decision already exists.

“This is not the first case, there were similar cases in 2016 and in 2019 and there is also a decision from the Supreme Court when those individuals, who were also in extradition detention because of a warrant issued by Serbia, were freed. The fact there is concern among SDSM and DUI because the partisan judge [Pajazit] Pajaziti is involved in the case, so now they are trying to create some intrigues or strange comparisons and information provided in the interrogative form, should really be analyzed. If they have evidence, if they know that this is the case, why is this presented in the interrogative, they should come out with proof, and we will see the outcome,” Mickoski told journalists.

At a press conference earlier on Thursday, SDSM MP Mitko Trajchuleski accused the Interior Ministry of organizing the escape of former Kosovo Liberation Army (KLA) member, Blerim Ramadani, from the country, calling on the government and the ministry to reveal who made the escape possible.

If the government and the Interior Ministry in the next 24 hours fail to reveal the truth about the entire organization of Ramadani’s escape, SDSM will make public information it received from whistle-blowers, warned Trajchuleski.
