Skopje, 14 February 2024 (MIA) — Angelina Dimovska Mitasheva has been appointed new acting director of the Philharmonic, sources familiar with the matter told MIA.

Her predecessor in the post, Daniel Lazarovski, took office in September 2023.

Last week, however, the Philharmonic union petitioned the Ministry of Culture to dismiss Lazarovski over a number of allegations of wrongdoing.

Minister of Culture Bisera Kostadinovska Stojchevska urged unionists to submit any evidence of mobbing to the authorities so they could launch an investigation. mr/
