PHI records 64 Covid-19 cases last week
- The Public Health Institute (PHI) said on Monday that the number of Covid-19 cases has increased in September, with 64 new cases recorded between September 16-22, which represents a rise of 12.3 percent compared to the week before.
Skopje, 23 September 2024 (MIA) - The Public Health Institute (PHI) said on Monday that the number of Covid-19 cases has increased in September, with 64 new cases recorded between September 16-22, which represents a rise of 12.3 percent compared to the week before.
Cases were recorded in nine cities, most of which in Skopje, whereas Pehchevo saw the highest incidence. The predominant age group was over 60.
One person from Tetovo, aged over 65, passed away in hospital. The person was vaccinated with two Covid-19 doses more than three years ago and had underlying illnesses.
A total of 1,624 Covid-19 cases have been recorded in the course of 2024, with 21 deaths reported until now.
