Skopje, 22 February 2023 (MIA) — Defense Minister Slavjanka Petrovska has arrived in Kyiv, Ukraine, to show support for the Ukrainian leadership and citizens fighting to defend their country and preserve their sovereignty, according to the Ministry of Defense in a press release.

Defense Minister Petrovska will meet with top Ukrainian officials to relay North Macedonia’s position the state has had since beginning of the Russian aggression: that North Macedonia fully supports Ukraine’s sovereignty within its internationally recognized borders and supports Ukraine's right to defend itself. 

“The suffering of the Ukrainian people needs to stop immediately,” the release says, calling for the end of Russia’s war.

“Petrovska in Ukraine will personally witness the destruction and devastation caused by Russian aggression, and official Kyiv representatives will closely inform her about the situation on the ground,” the release adds. mr/
