Skopje, 6 November 2023 (MIA) — Ukraine has asked North Macedonia for new military aid and their request is being considered by the General Staff of the Army; if the country can help, the list of the military aid they need will be forwarded to the Government for adoption, according to Minister of Defense Slavjanka Petrovska in a TV appearance on Monday evening.

Speaking to Sitel TV, Minister Petrovska said Ukraine needed various equipment. She recalled that twelve army helicopters had been donated so far but would remain in North Macedonia's possession pending delivery of eight new helicopters.

Petrovska also announced the purchase of military drones to help strengthen defense. She said a team formed by representatives of the Defense Ministry and the Army was working on a proposal for the drone procurement and was expected to submit it by the end of 2023. mr/
