Sofia, 15 June 2022 (MIA) – The topic of North Macedonia is used as distraction, said Bulgarian Prime Minister Kiril Petkov after a government session on Wednesday, BGNES reports. “Fight against the mafia resumes. Don’t fall for the trap and the attempts to distract the public’s attention,” said PM Petkov and added that today’s headline was the report by an inter-ministerial commission over violations of nearly EUR 1,3 billion in the construction sector. He said the government has adopted a decision according to which all proposals by the French EU Presidency or any member-state on the topic of North Macedonia and its EU accession negotiations was to be discussed by the parliament’s foreign policy committee. “No politician can now say that the government is acting in a unilateral way. The decision lies with the parliament,” stressed Petkov.
