Kumanovo, 2 April 2024 (MIA) - The Kumanovo Public Health Centre has declared a pertussis epidemic in the city, considering the rising number of whooping cough cases.

"There are now 23 registered cases in Kumanovo, with five hospitalized patients. Of course, the recommendation for vaccination of children against this disease remains in place," said epidemiologist Edita Ramizi.

The Center has also registered three whooping cough cases in Kriva Palanka, Lipkovo and Kratovo.
