Skopje, 17 August 2023 (MIA) - The President of North Macedonia and Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces Stevo Pendarovski is set to award on Friday the first-ever Medal to members of the Army participating in humanitarian or peacekeeping operations outside the country at the event celebrating Army Day – August 18.

“As part of the Army Day celebration, President Pendarovski will award members of the Army with a Medal for participation in humanitarian or peacekeeping operations outside the territory of the Republic of North Macedonia. The recognition will be awarded for the first time in our country, following the decision made by President Pendarovski on the Medal design, size and material, regulated by the Law on Awarding Decorations and Recognitions of North Macedonia,” Pendarovski’s Office said in a press release.

Moreover, President Pendarovski will deliver an address at the event celebrating the Army’s 31st anniversary.
