Skopje, 5 May 2024 (MIA) - SDSM-backed presidential candidate Stevo Pendarovski called on the citizens of Resen on Sunday to vote en masse in the May 8 elections. 

Pendarovski pointed out that his platform is diametrically opposed to that of his opponent who is backed by VMRO-DPMNE.  

"I offer progress, they offer regression. We brought the country into NATO and started negotiations with the EU, they are announcing renegotiation of the agreements that made that possible. With us there is freedom of speech, but if they get to power, they will be arresting journalists and we will have regime number 2," Pendarovski said.

At the time of VMRO-DPMNE, he added, the state was in private ownership and degraded citizens depending on whether they voted for them or not.

Pendarovski called on the citizens of Resen to think about the country's future on May 8.
