Skopje, 10 February 2023 (MIA) – President Stevo Pendarovski posted a photo Friday of the Macedonian soldiers who participated in the rescue of the five-year-old child from the ruins in the Turkish city of Kahramanmaraş.

“These are the members of our Army who, alongside the Turkish teams, saved little Suleiman from the ruins after the severe earthquakes in Türkiye,” wrote Pendarovski in a Facebook post.

The General Staff of the Army said on Thursday that the Macedonian team, operating in the city of Kahramanmaraş, helped in the successful action to rescue a five-year-old child from the ruins.

After six hours of clearing the rubble and an additional four hours, they managed to pull out five-year old Suleiman from the ruins. ad/ik/
