Skopje, 21 November 2023 (MIA) — President Stevo Pendarovski received Tuesday the credentials of Do Hoang Long, the newly appointed ambassador of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam to the Republic of North Macedonia.

According to an official press release, President Pendarovski wished a warm welcome to the Vietnamese ambassador, noting that the two distant countries were connected by long-standing friendship. He said the collective memory of the two friendly nations was deeply marked by peace and stability as key prerequisites for development.

President Pendarovski also said both North Macedonia and Vietnam provided support and their own contribution to the international community in promoting regional and global peace and stability.

The President added that  there was untapped potential and mutual interest in promoting cooperation, both bilaterally and multilaterally.

Ambassador Do Hoang Long said he would make every effort to strengthen the friendship and cooperation between the two countries and expressed his expectation for support and help from the state institutions.

President Pendarovski wished Ambassador Do success in his ambassadorial post and expressed confidence that he would receive North Macedonia's full support in performing his diplomatic duties. mr/
