Skopje, 7 March 2024 (MIA) — President Stevo Pendarovski received Thursday the letters of credence of Modasar Chaudhary, the newly appointed Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan to the Republic of North Macedonia, based in Sofia, Bulgaria.

According to an official press release, President Pendarovski, in his speech at the credentials ceremony, said that as a responsible member of the international community, the Republic of North Macedonia nurtures ties with all countries, for the good of the nations, for securing and strengthening peace in the world, and for sustainable development and economic prosperity.

Toward that aim, Pendarovski highlighed the country's readiness to further promote and develop relations and cooperation with Pakistan in all domains of mutual interest, both bilaterally and multilaterally.

In his speech at the ceremony, Ambassador Chaudhary said he was honored to be appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan to the Republic of North Macedonia and expressed his expectation that "the friendship that exists between the two countries will continue to develop and reach new heights," the release says. mr/
