Pendarovski receives credentials of new Armenian Ambassador
Skopje, 15 September 2022 (MIA) - President Stevo Pendarovski received Thursday the letters of credence of the newly appointed Sofia-based Armenian Ambassador to North Macedonia, Armen Edigaryan. "At the ceremony, Pendarovski said that after the establishment of diplomatic relations between Armenia and North Macedonia in 2019, the potential to grow and improve bilateral relations has grown exponentially. He also pointed out that the appointment of Edigaryan as ambassador is an example of Armenia's commitment to the promotion of bilateral relations in the upcoming period," the President's Office said. Pendarovski was hopeful that the new Ambassador's engagement and experience will contribute to finding new forms for enriching of the relations, especially in the domain of economy, trade, culture, education, science, tourism, technology and other spheres of mutual interest. Ambassador Edigaryan, emphasizing his honor and pleasure to be the first Armenian Ambassador to North Macedonia, acknowledged the role the "small, but dynamic" Armenian community in North Macedonia has in bringing the two countries and peoples closer together. dk/ba/
