Skopje, 9 July 2022 (MIA) – President Stevo Pendarovski greeted all Muslim believers in the country and Reis ul Ulema Haxhi Shaqir Efendi Fetahu, the head of the Islamic religious community, on the great Muslim holiday Qurban Bayram. In the note, Pendarovski calls for unity and building the Republic of North Macedonia our only common home. “With wishes of health, joy and happiness, first of all, Qurban Bayram is a holiday of solidarity and the cultivation of good habits of charity, generosity and humanity towards the vulnerable people who are in dire need of support. Qurban Bayram is an inseparable part of the centuries-old coexistence in the Macedonian multi-religious and multi-ethnic society,” Pendarovski’s note reads. In the note, the President Pendarovski expresses his belief that "showing solidarity with the vulnerable people and the coexistence between different religions, ethnicities or any other differences will help us united to overcome personal and collective challenges.”
