Skopje, 31 December 2021 (MIA) – President Stevo Pendarovski has extended New Year’s greetings to all citizens, wishing them peaceful holidays and lots of health in 2022. “We are saying goodbye to yet another pandemic year that took away many lives. A year in which we lost our fellow citizens in two large incidents. The sacrifice, solidarity and responsibility of the health workers, rescue services, volunteers and other people have transcended ethnic, religious, political, social differences to help those in need. These people are our heroes,” says President Pendarovski. He adds that 2022 should be dedicated to building a prosperous society. “While welcoming 2022, let’s turn to hope and faith in helping us build a prosperous society where everyone is equal before the law. A society that cares for the weak, rewards the virtuous, one in which young people will want to stay and develop. I wish you a peaceful holiday period with your families and friends and may 2022 bring lots of health. Happy New Year!”, says Pendarovski.
