Skopje, 4 January 2023 (MIA) – President Stevo Pendarovski met Wednesday with Turkey’s Minister of Energy and Natural Resources, Fatih Dönmez.  

Participants in the meeting expressed satisfaction with excellent bilateral relations and the successful cooperation between the two countries, developed in the spirit of traditional friendship and partnership.  

Interlocutors discussed about the developments and challenges in the area of energy, caused by the war in Ukraine, as well as about dealing with the consequences on the countries’ economies, noting that despite the good economic cooperation, the two countries should also step up the energy cooperation. according to global and European policy movements, the President’s office said in a press release.  

President Pendarovski expressed expectation for finalizing the memorandum on cooperation between the two countries in the area of energy, which will contribute to boost cooperation, exchange experience, as well as support in the area of gasification.  

Pendarovski extended gratitude for Turkey’s longstanding and significant support.
