Parliament’s Budget Council holds session, approves changes to 2030 Parliament budget

Skopje, 31 August 2023 (MIA) – Parliament’s Budget Council held a session Thursday during which it adopted a decision approving changes and supplements to Parliament’s Budget for 2023, upon the request of the Ministry of Finance in the context of the rebalancing of the 2023 Budget.
The decision notifies the Finance Ministry that Parliament requires an increase of Mden 95.5 million, the majority of which to be used for wage increases of 10 percent for the employees, and 78 percent for 124 officials.
The Budget Council adopted a Strategic Plan for Parliament for the 2024-2028 period, and it additionally approved the employment plan for 2024, with 31 new employees and 37 promotions planned for 2024.
The Council also adopted a decision on Parliament’s draft-budget for 2024 in the amount of Mden 905 million.
