Parliamentary majority will enlarge by at least four MPs, says PM
Skopje, 28 October 2021 (MIA) – Prime Minister and SDSM leader Zoran Zaev said Thursday the parliamentary majority will enlarge by at least four MPs. “The parliamentary majority might be a new one, namely through enlargement of the existing majority, and this is something that citizens understand,” PM Zaev told Kanal 5 TV. He adds that the lawmakers, who come from the opposition coalition, support the country’s EU and NATO integration, the Prespa Agreement, the Bulgaria Friendship Treaty, the Ohrid Framework Agreement, the Law on the Use of Languages. “This is the country’s future, because VMRO-DPMNE is against these agreements and their leader refuses to use the country’s constitutional name, which means a problem with Greece and getting further away from the EU and unity within the country,” said Zaev. The PM says there are talks with Alternativa, the party that has been humiliated and underestimated by their partner Alliance of Albanians, culminating with the VMRO-DPMNE coalition. Zaev says the progressive mindset, democracy and freedom will win on Sunday, since the other option takes the country back to the darkness, the silence, the past, which is of no use to anyone.
