Skopje, 5 November 2021 (MIA) – The Parliament unanimously verified Friday the mandates of the new lawmakers after six MPs were elected mayors at last week’s local elections. Four VMRO-DPMNE lawmakers take their seats - Toni Jarevski replaces Timcho Mucunski, who was elected Mayor of Aerodrom municipality, Zoran Kocevski replaces the new Butel Mayor Darko Kostovski, Dragan Kovachki comes in the place of Shtip Mayor Ivan Jordanov, while Gracija Bakracheska replaces newly-elected Ohrid Mayor Kiril Pecakov. SDSM’s Ljubica Spasova replaces Kostadin Kostadinov, who was elected Mayor of Strumica, while Dragoljub Filipovski takes over from Bilal Kasami, the new Mayor of Tetovo. MPs also passed the draft-decision on deployment of an Army member in EU-led international mission “Althea” in Bosnia-Herzegovina.
