Skopje, 4 June 2024 (MIA) - Parliament’s Committee on Election and Appointment Issues adopted Tuesday the proposed compositions of the Committee on Political System and the Legislative Committee.

The Committee on Political System will be chaired by Ljupcho Prendzhov, with Jovan Jaulevski acting as the deputy chair. While the Legislative Committee will be chaired by Aleksandar Veljanovski, with Boban Nikolovski as deputy chair. 

At Monday’s session, the Committee on Election and Appointment Issues also accepted former President Stevo Pendarovski’s request for a suspension of his right to a presidential pension. 

It also accepted 29 requests for loss-of-office payment by MPs from the 2020-2024 parliamentary composition, with only Levica’s MP, Borislav Krmov, voting against. The deadline for the submission of requests for loss-of-office payment still hasn’t expired.

Committee chair Gjorgjija Sajkovski also informed the session that he had signed a request for the suspension of loss-of-office payment for Oliver Spasovski and Vesna Bendevska since they won a seat in Parliament.
