Over 1.6 million vaccine doses administered, more than 63,000 get booster shot
Skopje, 22 November 2021 (MIA) – A total of 1,675,793 COVID-19 vaccines doses have been administered in North Macedonia so far. 822,751 citizens have received at least one vaccine dose, 789,905 have received two, and 63,137 have received a booster shot, the Ministry of Health said on Monday.
57 percent of citizens over 40 have received two vaccine doses, and so far, 33 percent of people aged 18 to 39 have received at least one dose.
“58% of the adult population has received at least one vaccine dose, while 47% have been fully vaccinated. According to the number of administered vaccines, 39 percent of the country’s entire population has received at least one vaccine dose, and 38 percent two,” read the Health Ministry’s press release.
On Friday and Saturday a total of 5,611 people were vaccinated against COVID-19 nationwide. Of them, 2,387 received their first vaccine dose, 1,163 received their second, and 2,061 received their third.
