Outsourcing giant "Emapta" opens facility in Skopje-based zone, 850 jobs in next five years

Skopje, 3 January 2024 (MIA) - Multinational company for outsourcing services "Emapta" will open a facility in the technological-industrial development zone Skopje 1 and is set to open 850 jobs in the next five years or over 10,000 in a decade.

The company said it would annually contribute over EUR 15 million until the end of the investment period.

Prime Minister Dimitar Kovachevski and Free Zones Authority Jovan Despotovski, who promoted the investment on Wednesday, said the company has been operating in North Macedonia for a year already, and currently has 30 employees in Skopje.

"The Emapta founder is Australian, who came here thanks to a Macedonian who worked there," said Despotovski.

PM Kovachevski said the company has a network across Europe and South America, with strong global presence in Australia, Singapore, Sri Lanka, Malaysia, New Zealand, and has a portfolio of 730 client companies and 7,600 employees worldwide.

"Through Emapta's investment in the Skopje-based zone, we are introducing a new approach in diversification of investments and enlargement to services. Emapta will give young people an opportunity to work for world-renowned companies. They will work locally but act globally, thus making North Macedonia part of the globalization trend," noted Kovachevski.

Emapta, established by Australian entrepreneur Tim Vorbach in 2010, is operating on the one-stop-shop concept, offering a broad specter of professionals and fields that aim to meet the various requirements and needs of client companies.

Emapta focuses on the key vertical markets, including IT and ICT, medicine, telecommunication operators and telecommunications, Internet of Things, software engineering, research and development of computer technologies, accounting, sales etc.

Emapta works with leading global brands at four continents, with revenues at USD 2.8 billion in 2022 and projected to reach USD 3 billion by next year.

According to Emapta Macedonia projections, the company's revenues are scheduled to reach EUR 14 million by 2027 and EUR 66 million by the end of the investment period in 2033.

The company's target group are primarily university-educated young people, who want to stay in the country and work with foreign clients. Emapta aspires to spread across Europe through its head office in Skopje.
