Skopje, 15 May 2024 (MIA) - Foreign Minister Bujar Osmani in a Facebook post Wednesday said he voiced his concern over “the compromising of the electoral process” at meetings with the ambassadors of the United States, Germany, Great Britain, and the Netherlands.
“I voiced my concern regarding the compromising of the electoral process through arbitrary decisions by SEC [State Election Commission] in order to steal the electoral will through political engineering with the decisions for a revote,” wrote Osmani.
Osmani also pointed to the necessity of respecting the Ohrid Framework Agreement and the international treaties, as well as investing in the reform agenda for the country’s Euro-integration process.
The DUI-led European Front alleged of “political engineering” within SEC, which they said is meant to take away one or two seats from the coalition by accepting complaints for a revote in certain polling stations.
