Osmani says relations within DUI are good, party’s new energy to be seen
Skopje, 16 October 2022 (MIA) – Democratic Union for Integration (DUI) spokesperson Bujar Osmani said relations within the party are good, adding that a new energy will be visible after the Central Council’s meeting on Saturday.   “Relations are good. Political organizations are actually made of people representing different electorates, and it’s not always the case that the interests of different electorates are the same, such as those in Struga, Tetovo or Gostivar. But the success of an organization is measured by whether it can put different perspectives into a powerful organization that serves people, implements, delivers and wins. And that’s what DUI does,” Osmani told reporters.   According to him, the problems are similar in all parties and organizations. Assessments, he noted, are made in terms of whether there’s capacity to overcome them and create an opportunity out of every difficulty.   “In these twenty years DUI proved to be a leader and a new model of maintaining dynamics, renewal of an organization that has not lost a single election for 20 years and is getting stronger and stronger every time. And you’ll see, as I said yesterday, a new energy in DUI after this central presidency,” said Foreign Minister Osmani, who together with Kosovo Ambassador Florian Qehaja planted trees on Sunday in the park in Chair as a sign of good neighborliness and cooperation.   Osmani pointed out that after the party meeting on Saturday there were a lot of reports that were not correct, according to which someone had been removed from office.   “That's not correct. No one has been removed from a position, but a new leadership has been elected. The party’s general council decided to elect not only members of the central presidency, but also vice-presidents and general secretaries. I think that Artan Grubi has been promoted at this central presidency, because he is a member of the presidency,” DUI’s spokesperson said.   The Democratic Union for Integration (DUI) held on Saturday a meeting of its Central Council, which was also attended by members of the so-called “Fiery Group”. DUI leader Ali Ahmeti chaired Saturday’s meeting.    Izet Mexhiti, Arber Ademi, Bajram Rexhepi and Arbana Pasholi were elected vice-presidents of the party. Blerim Bexheti was elected organizational secretary, Faton Ahmeti as secretary general, and Saranda Imeri as secretary for equal opportunities.    Ali Ahmeti, Ramiz Merko, Jeton Shaqiri, Fatmir Dehari, Kreshnik Bekteshi, Talat Xhaferi, Nevzat Bejta, Valdet Xhaferi, Teuta Arifi, Xhevat Ademi, Artan Grubi, Bujar Osmani, Visar Ganiu, Nazim Bushi, Ejup Halimi, Arian Daci, Besnik Emshiu, Mirsad Ibraimi, Ardita Dani, Bilent Sali, Resi Abdurahmani, Shergil Bekiri, Shaban Memeti, Artin Spahiu, and Emir Sulejmani will be part of the Central Council.    DUI leader Ali Ahmeti proposed Musa Xhaferi, Bekim Neziri, Juamin Sinani, Zenun Matjani, Memet Selami, Shukri Masurica, and Nedim Ramizi as members of the Supervisory Council.
