Skopje, 2 July 2023 (MIA) – OSCE Chairperson-in-Office and Minister of Foreign Affairs Bujar Osmani, met Sunday in Skopje with the OSCE ambassadors to Serbia, Kosovo and North Macedonia, Jan Braathu, Michael Davenport and Kilian Wahl. The meeting focused on the situation in the north of Kosovo and the Belgrade-Pristina relations, said the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in a press release.

In front of the OSCE ambassadors, Osmani presented the nine-step plan, aimed at helping to de-escalate the situation and contribute to permanent peace and stability, as well as a return of the Kosovo Serbs to the institutions and democratic processes.

“It is encouraging to hear their opinions over the potential perspectives of the de-escalation plan I presented as OSCE Chairperson. The proposed roadmap encourages an atmosphere of dialogue and cooperation,” said Osmani.

Additionally, Osmani also presented the priorities of North Macedonia’s OSCE Chairpersonship focused on South-East Europe. According to the MFA, the priorities are aimed at boosting trust, fight against corruption, and climate action.

“Reconciliation is especially important as a key priority and a step towards lasting peace and cooperation in the region,” said Osmani.

In the context of the priorities of North Macedonia’s OSCE Chairpersonship, Osmani and the ambassadors also spoke about the upcoming Southeast Europe Anti-Corruption Conference that will be held in the country.
