Skopje, 13 August 2021 (MIA) – As the most successful peace agreement in the region, the Ohrid Framework Agreement has withstood the test of time, creating strong social cohesion and a feeling of belonging in the common state, says Foreign Minister Bujar Osmani. “The Republic of North Macedonia is turning into the only functional multiethnic democracy in the region, a model-state in the region, a country prepared to stand on equal terms as part of the international community, ensuring all rights and duties,” FM Osmani says in a Facebook post. According to him, the NATO membership and the substantial progress in the Euro-integration process is a result of the enhancement of the constitutional order and the internal coherence achieved through the Ohrid Framework Agreement. “Therefore, two decades later, we undertake the duty to keep the spirit of the Ohrid Framework Agreement alive and ensure its maturing in our common state,” notes Osmani.
