Skopje, 30 September 2025 (MIA) - DUI's candidate for Chair mayor, Bujar Osmani, said late Tuesday that the mass turnout at rallies reflects the new energy in the municipality and sends a message that change is needed.
"Something unusual is happening, a kind of mobilization that is not partisan-like. People have come and said they were wrong to vote for the others last year, people who have never voted say that silence is not an option this time. This is energy ready to burst," said Osmani.
He said the citizens' mobilization, regardless of their ethnic or political affiliation, reaffirms the wish to restore dignity and build a fresh political culture in Chair.
"I did not enter this race to run the municipality but to channel this energy of anger and revolt. I have met thousands of people during this campaign and they speak of our national dignity that has been taken away from us, but also the dignity of life in Chair," said Osmani.
He added that the "historic change" has already begun and the new energy of citizens will generate a better Chair.
