Osmani meets Kasoulides in New York
Skopje, 21 September 2022 (MIA) – Foreign Minister Bujar Osmani met with Cypriot counterpart Ioannis Kasoulides on the sidelines of the 77th session of the United Nations General Assembly in New York.  The two exchanged views on the overall relations between North Macedonia and Cyprus.    “The meeting discussed ways to strengthen cooperation, after many years of very modest exchange, on which there is readiness and clearly expressed interest. Regarding the Euro-Atlantic integration, expressing satisfaction with the holding of the first intergovernmental conference between North Macedonia and the European Union, Minister Kasoulides reaffirmed full support of Cyprus for the EU's enlargement policy with the countries of the Western Balkans, adding that as a strong supporter, Cyprus will continue to promote further integration and continuation of the formal accession negotiations with the EU,” the Foreign Ministry said in a press release. .  The two ministers also discussed about energy and wider economic consequences on the European continent, as an effect of the war in Ukraine.
