Skopje, 12 August 2023 (MIA) - Kazakhstan will open its embassy in Skopje by the end of 2023, as confirmed in the discussions of Foreign Minister Bujar Osmani with Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev and counterpart Murat Nurtleu in Astana.
This decision demonstrates that Kazakhstan sees North Macedonia as a trusted partner in this part of Europe and represents a realization of the commitment from the declaration that the countries' FMs signed last year, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs says in a press release.
It adds that Kazakhstan is considered a generator of the economy in Central Asia and the opening of the embassy in Skopje will contribute to the deepening of bilateral friendly relations, development of economic cooperation and enhancement of the contractual framework. In addition, this would be the first resident embassy of a country from Central Asia in North Macedonia.
