Skopje, 24 August 2023 (MIA) — Minister of Foreign Affairs Bujar Osmani joined an international social media initiative marking Ukraine's Independence Day, August 24.

FM Osmani posted a line from the Ukrainian national anthem on X (formerly Twitter) as part of a thread initiated by Ukrainian Minister of Foreign Affairs Dmytro Kuleba and supported by a large number of foreign ministers.

"This is another symbolic gesture confirming the support of North Macedonia for Ukraine while it protects and defends its sovereignty and territorial integrity under attack from Russian military aggression," the MFA wrote.

As another sign of support, the Ukrainian flag was hoisted on the MFA building yesterday in honor of the Ukraine's National Flag Day, Aug. 23. mr/
