Skopje, 1 July 2022 (MIA) – If the Government decides, upon a process of consultations, to approve the package, then I can immediately organize a meeting of the intergovernmental commission with the Republic of Bulgaria and sign the protocol. I think this would coincide with the day when the EU Council adopts the negotiating framework and this entire process, said Foreign Minister Bujar Osmani on Friday. FM Osmani said the protocol has been aligned in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs but must be approved by the Government, within the entire package. “The package has a European and bilateral component. The bilateral component is the protocol and it is already out of the European package. However, it is part of the process so that Bulgaria gives consent for the package,” said Osmani.
