Skopje, 30 August 2023 (MIA) – Minister of Foreign Affairs Bujar Osmani, in his role as OSCE Chairperson-in-Office, held a phone call Wednesday with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation, Sergey Lavrov.

According to a press release from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Osmani touched upon the challenges in the OSCE region and reiterated the adherence of North Macedonia’s Chairpersonship to the respect of the fundamental principles and commitments of the Organization.

“In that context, he once again stressed the need to end the aggression, withdraw the Russian armed forces from Ukraine and respect its sovereignty and territorial integrity,” said the press release.

Osmani and Lavrov, said the MFA, exchanged opinions on the most pressing issues related to the functioning of the OSCE.
