Osmani congratulates Mexhiti on Chair victory

Skopje, 19 October 2025 (MIA) – DUI’s candidate for Mayor of the Municipality of Chair, Bujar Osmani, congratulated his opponent from Vlen, Izet Mexhiti, on his victory and wished him success in leading the municipality over the next four years.

In a post on his Facebook page, Osmani said the election day unfolded successfully, stressing the importance of this fact for the electoral process. He thanked the people who were a part of his campaign and said it was an honor to work in a process which, according to him, created a vision for Chair.

“First, I would like to express my satisfaction with election day. We had successful elections, without major remarks, which is important to highlight. I want to extend my gratitude to all collaborators throughout the campaign – activists, party and coalition friend, supporters, the women’s and youth forums. It was a true honor to work with commitment and sacrifice in a process that created a beautiful vision for Chair, as well as many new friendships,” Osmani wrote.

In the post, Osmani added that although the campaign was not entirely fair or legal in all aspects, he has no intention of complaining, stating that honesty and values only matter when upheld even in such circumstances. He congratulated Mexhiti and the coalition that supported him, calling them the winners of the elections in Chair and wishing them success in leading the municipality over the next four years. Osmani also expressed gratitude to his family, which, he said, bore the greatest burden of his political engagement.

“Congratulations to my opponent and to the entire coalition that stood behind him. They are the winners of the elections in Chair and I wish them success in leading the municipality over the next four years. Finally, I would like to thank my family – they carried the greatest burden of my political engagement, but also gave me the strongest support,” Osmani said, noting he would announce his next steps in the coming days.
