Skopje, 20 June 2022 (MIA) – Foreign Minister Bujar Osmani said Monday a separate chapter on bilateral issues would not be permitted, whereas historical issues would not represent benchmarks in moving the process forward.
“For me, the most important thing is to establish whether there is political will before we address concrete issues, solutions and documents. We do not see that political will in Sofia at this time. Once we see a signal of political will there, we can talk on concrete proposals,” FM Osmani told Telma TV.
He says the Portuguese proposal is the basis for a solution to the Bulgaria dispute on the language.
“Regarding bilateral issues, we will neither permit a separate chapter on this nor turning historical issues into benchmarks to move the process forward,” says Osmani.
