Osmani attends World Economic Forum at 77th UN General Assembly
Skopje, 20 September 2022 (MIA) - Foreign Minister Bujar Osmani attended an event dedicated to the geopolitical challenges for securing sustainable development, cooperation and world peace, organized by the World Economic Forum within the 77th UN General Assembly. Discussions focused on the new geopolitical reality, promotion of sustainable and collective security in order to deal with the new challenges, identifying the opportunities for cooperation focusing on private sector cooperation, as well as its role in sharing global priorities in order to secure uninterrupted progress towards implementation of sustainable development and guaranteeing peace and safety, said the Foreign Ministry. "Only by strong political leadership can we achieve sustainable peace, justice and effective and responsible institutions, and the people should be the focus of the sustainable development agenda as a top priority when it comes to the formation of future strategies," Osmani said. Over 30 high government representatives, foreign affairs ministers and heads of large international foundations attended the event, stated the press release. dk/ba/
