Osmani – Turkovic: Mutual satisfaction over positive dynamics in development of bilateral relations
Skopje, 21 October 2022 (MIA) – Foreign Minister Bujar Osmani met with Deputy Chairman of the Council of Ministers and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bisera Turkovic, at the sidelines of the ministerial meeting within the framework of the Berlin Process on Friday. Osmani and Turkovic highlighted the mutual satisfaction over the positive dynamics in the development of bilateral relations between North Macedonia and Bosnia and Herzegovina, and exchanged opinions regarding the possibilities for further advancement, with special reference to economic cooperation, which lags behind close and open political relations, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said in a press release. The recommendation of the European Commission to grant candidate status for membership in the Union is of course extremely important for the citizens of Bosnia and Herzegovina and their future, but no less important for the region of the Western Balkans, especially as a message to those who have a different view of the place and the role of Bosnia and Herzegovina, said FM Osmani. Osmani emphasized the support of the Republic of North Macedonia for the European and Euro-Atlantic path of Bosnia and Herzegovina, as well as the readiness and openness to share experiences in this regard. Interlocutors also addressed the current situation in the region and beyond, as well as the economic and energy challenges related to the Russian military aggression in Ukraine. dk/ik/
