Osmani – Sarrazin: Stable partner relations with Germany
Skopje, 27 October 2022 (MIA) – Foreign Minister Bujar Osmani met Thursday with Germany's Special Envoy for the Western Balkans Manuel Sarrazin, highlighting that the Berlin Process undoubtedly continues to be a significant driver of reform processes in the region.   He expressed great satisfaction with the positive outcome of the ministerial meeting held last week within the Berlin Process and the adoption of a declaration on the implementation of a common regional market, as well as the signing of agreements on the recognition of academic qualifications/diplomas, professional qualifications and travel with ID cards in the region during the upcoming summit in Berlin on November 3, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said in a press release.  Osmani expressed gratitude for Germany's unwavering support for North Macedonia’s European integration process and briefed Sarrazin on the current screening, as a particularly significant stage in the process of accession negotiations with the European Union.   Interlocutors expressed satisfaction with the intense dynamics of the political dialogue between the two countries, which means building strong and stable partner relations with Germany.   “The fact that Germany is our biggest political and economic partner is yet another confirmation of Germany's commitment and interest in being present in the region,” Osmani stressed.   Participants in the meeting highlighted NATO’s important role in preserving European and global security in the given unstable geopolitical context, as well as the important role of the Republic of North Macedonia as a country chairing the OSCE in 2023.
