Skopje, 23 November 2022 (MIA) – Minister of Foreign Affairs, Bujar Osmani, held a meeting Wednesday with NATO's Assistant Secretary General for Intelligence and Security, David Cattler, discussing the current political and security situation in the country and the region, with a special focus on the Russian military aggression on Ukraine. According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Osmani reaffirmed North Macedonia’s support for the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine, as well as the need to strengthen NATO presence in the region which is especially crucial for preserving regional stability and countering malicious interference in the Western Balkans. “Osmani and Cattler agreed that the changed security environment, in the context of the Russian military aggression on Ukraine, is generating increased security risks, and that unity, cohesion and solidarity between allies is NATO’s strongest and most powerful asset,” said the MFA. ad/nn/
