Skopje, 24 October 2023 (MIA) – One person was critically injured following a shooting Tuesday in Skopje’s East Gate Mall, while another has been transferred to the Thoracic Surgery Clinic, the head of the Skopje-based PHI University Clinic for Surgical Diseases “St. Naum Ohridski”, Ljuben Arsenkov, told MIA.

“Two male patients have been hospitalized. One patient was immediately rushed to surgery due to the serious injuries. The surgery is ongoing. He is in a critical condition due to injuries to the abdomen and the chest. The second patient was transferred to the Thoracic Surgery Clinic. Both have gunshot wounds,” said Arsenkov.

The Ministry of Interior confirmed the reports of a shooting in the shopping mall and said an investigation is ongoing.
