Oliver Milanov takes over as head of Food and Veterinary Agency

Skopje, 4 July 2024 (MIA) - New Food and Veterinary Agency director Oliver Milanov officially took over the post Thursday from former director Nikolche Babovski, the Agency said in a press release.
At a meeting with the former director of the Agency on Thursday, Milanov stated that the digital transformation of the institution will be the focus of his leadership of the Agency. The goal, he said, is ensuring better communication, security of information, transparency and accountability, which, according to Milanov, would improve the public’s trust in the Agency.
“As head of the Agency I will intensify cooperation with international organizations, above all with those in the field of food safety, health protection and animal welfare, as well as others, with domestic and international experts, the media... with the goal of promoting the work of the institution in the interest of the citizens, the business sector and the nongovernmental sector,” Milanov said.
At the meeting, former director Babovski acquainted Milanov to ongoing activities at the Agency and wished him success in his work as head of the Food and Veterinary Agency.
