Skopje, 13 December 2021 (MIA) – The number of tourists in October totaled to 53,828, out of which 58.9% were foreign tourists and 41.1% were local tourists. There were 124,219 overnight stays, out of which 56.3% were foreign tourists and 43.7% were local tourists, the State Statistical Office said on Monday.

Between January and October, the number of tourists has increased 50.5% in relation to last year. There has been a 20.1% increase in local tourists and an 183.3% increase in foreign tourists.

The number of overnight stays has increased as well, to 159.9% for foreign tourists and 14.2% for local tourists. dk/ba/
