Skopje, 28 June 2023 (MIA) – The Notary Chamber of the Republic of North Macedonia, after gathering the relevant information regarding the actions of the notaries, said Wednesday it fully dismisses and disagrees with the reactions from the Austrian Embassy’s letter over the involvement of notaries and the abuse of their official position and competencies in the trade dispute between Macedonian company DENA Import Export Veles and Austrian Company AMMA Import Export.

The Chamber said if the Austrian Embassy requires further information, the Notary Chamber is ready to provide any information or consultations regarding the actions of the notaries in the specific case.

In an open letter on Tuesday entitled "What is going to prevail? Rule of law and protection of Austrian investments in North Macedonia or criminal collusion capturing the judiciary and officers of law?", Austrian Ambassador Georg Woutsas accused the companies DENA and GLOBAL of capturing the judiciary and officers of law in the case with Austrian investment in the country by AMMA Import Export GmbH (AMMA), based in Hohenems, Austria, and called for removal of all incompetent and biased judges and prosecutors in these cases.
