“North Macedonia’s Road to NATO” exhibit opens in Brussels
Skopje, 20 October 2021 (MIA) – Minister of Defence Radmila Shekerinska opened on Wednesday afternoon at NATO’s headquarters in Brussels an exhibit entitled “North Macedonia’s Road to NATO.” “It’s my pleasure to open this exhibit which showcases North Macedonia’s road to the Alliance. NATO accession was a moment to remember, a moment of pride. We succeeded because of our commitment and because of your support,” the Minister said at the event. Shekerinska, the Ministry of Defence said in a press release, thanked representatives of member states for their support throughout the years, which, she underlined, North Macedonia appreciates and will never forget. NATO Assistant Secretary General for Public Diplomacy Baiba Braže stressed that the exhibit illustrates a road filled with commitment and wisdom. “You are a success story,” Braže noted. The exhibit showcases 28 photos of people and events that marked North Macedonia’s road to NATO, from 1993 to 2021. After the exhibit, Minister Shekerinska handed certificates of appreciation to multiple people who strongly supported North Macedonia’s NATO integration throughout the years.
