Skopje, 11 June 2022 (MIA) – North Macedonia supports the NATO enlargement and open-door policy for all countries that share the values of the Alliance and the Washington Treaty, said Prime Minister Dimitar Kovachevski on Saturday. “North Macedonia is the latest NATO member-state and the Alliance’s open-door policy and Skopje’s difficult decisions led to our accession. North Macedonia was the fastest-integrated country in the NATO political and military system on record,” PM Kovachevski told a joint press conference with German Chancellor Olaf Scholz. He added that President Stevo Pendarovski would present the country’s positions on NATO’s future decisions at the coming Alliance summit in Madrid.
