Skopje, 2 June 2023 (MIA) - The Ministry of Defence said on Friday that a new shipment of the American-made JLTV Oshkosh armoured vehicles intended for the Army of the Republic of North Macedonia has arrived in the country. 

“The delivery of Joint Light Tactical Vehicles (JLTV) represents a step forward in the process of modernization and equipping of the Army according to NATO standards, and will support the light infantry battalion group in Shtip, which is also the NATO certified army unit,” Defence Ministry said in a press release.

The delivery is part of a 2019-2024 project implemented in cooperation with the US government for the procurement of light armoured vehicles to equip and modernise North Macedonia's army. Thus far, 32 armoured vehicles have been delivered to the country.
