North Macedonia has done its homework, ready for negotiations, PM Zaev tells EU Ambassadors
Skopje, 23 September 2021 (MIA) – Prime Minister Zoran Zaev at the annual meeting with the heads of diplomatic missions of EU member states in North Macedonia, which took place on Wednesday evening, expressed expectations that progress regarding the country’s EU integration will be achieved by the end of the Slovenian EU Presidency.
“North Macedonia has done its homework and is fully prepared to start European Union negotiations,” Zaev underlined during the meeting.
At the meeting, the government said in a press release on Thursday, the PM and Ambassadors discussed activities in North Macedonia, focusing on the country’s EU integration process.
PM Zaev talked to Ambassadors, led by the head of the EU Delegation to North Macedonia David Geer, about the government’s uninterrupted implementation of reforms in the judiciary, fight against corruption and public administration.
Moreover, interlocutors discussed the census as a key statistical operation crucial for the country’s future progress in all areas, the press release read.
