Skopje, 1 August 2023 (MIA) - We are monitoring the situation and we will take decisions depending on the situation. There is nothing to be alarmed about for the time being, said Health Minister Fatmir Mexhiti on Tuesday.

Minister Mexhiti was quizzed by reporters if there is room for concern after it was reported a couple of days ago that a 27-year-old woman from the village of Kuchica in Karbinci municipality died of Crimean–Congo hemorrhagic fever caused by a tick bite.

"We have one confirmed case and all family members have been placed under quarantine. Services will provide more details in the case," noted Mexhiti.
