Skopje, 15 August 2022 (MIA) – In the latest Shanghai Ranking list of the best world universities, 39 of the top 100 universities come from the United States. Harvard University tops the rankings and, apart from two British universities – Cambridge University in 4th and Oxford University in 7th, the top 15 places on the list are held by American universities. China has nine universities in the top 100, Germany four, and among the top 100 there are also universities from France, Sweden, Denmark, Switzerland, Israel, Japan, Australia, Canada… The countries of the region have universities ranked in the top 1000 – the University of Athens is in the range of universities between 301st and 400th place, the Universities of Belgrade, Zagreb and Ljubljana are ranked in the 401-500 range, while the University of Novi Sad is in the 901-1000 range of the list.
