Sharm el-Sheikh, 19 November 2022 (dpa/MIA) - EU Commission Vice president Frans Timmermans has made it clear at the UN Climate Conference in Egypt that the EU will not cross certain red lines in the struggle for a breakthrough. "We'd rather have no decision than a bad decision," Timmermans told journalists at the meeting in Sharm el-Sheikh on Saturday morning. He said the EU is very concerned about some positions in the negotiations, which dragged on overnight. They would continue to push for an agreement, but were also prepared to leave the conference without a declaration if necessary.
