Nikoloski highlights major infrastructure projects in Macedonia, meets Karadzhov and Marinescu in Brussels
- During his working visit to Brussels, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Transport Aleksandar Nikoloski met Thursday with Bulgaria’s Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Transport Grozdan Karadzhov, Marian-Jean Marinescu, the EU Coordinator for the Western Balkans–Eastern Mediterranean Corridor, and Matej Zakonjšek, Director of the Transport Community Permanent Secretariat.
Skopje, 5 December 2025 (MIA) - During his working visit to Brussels, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Transport Aleksandar Nikoloski met Thursday with Bulgaria’s Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Transport Grozdan Karadzhov, Marian-Jean Marinescu, the EU Coordinator for the Western Balkans–Eastern Mediterranean Corridor, and Matej Zakonjšek, Director of the Transport Community Permanent Secretariat.
At the meeting, discussions focused on regional infrastructure projects that stimulate regional development and the economy, the Ministry of Transport said.

Nikoloski informed that the law ratifying the Agreement signed on 6 November 2025 will soon be adopted by Parliament.
Deputy Prime Minister Nikoloski informed his interlocutors that, on a technical level, the directors of the two railway enterprises are jointly initiating preparations for submitting a funding application for the tunnel project.
Nikoloski also emphasized that the tender for the third phase of the railway connection project with Bulgaria is expected to be announced in December or January.
